Vicky Kaushal will soon be seen in Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar, a film that is set to bring him back to the big screen. After Bad Newz turned out to be a success, there was talk of his re-emergence into film industry. Rashmika Mandanna has been cast as Yesubai Bhonsale in the movie. The producers released the teaser for this film on Monday, which shows Vicky fighting and screaming aggressively on battlefield.

The first glimpse of Chaava begins with an intense battle being fought along a river shore laying foundation for vickys towering presence as chhatrapati sambhaji maharaj.“We call Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj lion and we call Chhava his cub,” Vicky starts in voice over. Subsequently, Vicky appears on the screen riding a horse dressed in combat suit. In the next shots he is facing numerous enemies alone bravely. All these are depicted through the teaser before it ends with how Akshay Khanna look unlike Aurangzeb . Finally, Vickey’s Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is shown seated regally on a throne.
The makers have also unveiled the film’s first look earlier on Monday.Vicky can be seen surrounded by enemies dressed in white colour attire in new poster.
In a recent interview with Vicky Kaushal spoke about working with Rashmika Mandanna in this movie: “Only one person who can make hearts beat 56 times and that’s her,” he stated. Another beautiful person inside out. She brings so much positivity on set; this is our first time working together in ‘Chhaava.’ She’s just a beautiful person.

Chhaava is produced by Stree 2 producer Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. The music for this historical drama was done by the Oscar winning composer A.R. Rahman. Vicky Kaushal, Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna are in the film with Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta and Suniel Shetty.In theaters on December 6, Chhaava will be released.
The first look of “Chhava” was attached to “Stree 2,” which is currently smashing the Indian box office. In the film’s first trailer, we see Vicky battling bad guys inside a fort as he jumps towards death in order to “hold the fort.”
It is scheduled to release on 6th December 2025 and will clash with Allu Arjun starrer movie “Pushpa 2: The Rule”which can become huge at box office.Vicky has his second big fight after ‘Sam Bahadur’ which faced off against Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Vicky’s “Bad Newz,” also featuring Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk, did Rs 113 crore worldwide.
Incidentally, it takes one year for Chhava to be released from Sam Bahadur starring Vicky.
