emergency movie;Kangana bows and claims my film was placed under emergency
“Emergency is the movie that I watched. Nirashajanak ye sthiti hai bahut hi. Apne desh se khair bahut hi zyada disappointed hu, aur jo bhi haalaat hain (My Film bhi aisa Emergency protocol laga hai). It is an extremely depressing state. Even so, I owe a great debt of disillusionment to this country and the current political conditions. I am not ashamed of being disappointed by our country, although I am disappointed by our fellow country. ” Kangana said.
Kangana argued that she is being targeted selectively as she claimed, these events in her movie are shown in other movies as well like the 1971 India-Pakistan War in Sam Bahadur directed Meghna Gulzar last year or the Emergency period in Indu Sarkar directed Madhur Bhandarkar in 2017. She also added that many petitions made her certificate null on evaluation even after the film censor board had already passed the certification of the movement’s film.

You can be sure Kangana will go and defend herself in court if need be.
Kangana would like everybody to believe that she would not stop making the movies she wants to make because of such hurdles. If not, we shall keep on recounting those silly stories. There is someone who will scare us now, and someone else who will scare us tomorrow. We do get scared too easily, so it is easy for them, and always would be easy for them, to scare us. How much more do you expect us to go in the frightened state of mind? I have made this movie with so much dignity to myself, and therefore the CBFC could find no faults.
I’ve got my censor certificate delayed, but I am still determined to release the picture uncut. I will go to the court on this and release the unavity bore cut. that Indira Gandhi was suddenly quite alone at her home and dead. I cannot depict it that way,” Kangana told me in Hindi.
Of late, Emergency has been caught in the storm of Controversies. Emergency is as clear as daylight, struggling hard even before its release to handle the backlash from many Sikh groups to even now having to await clearance from the CBFC. The film, which is co-produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films, promises to be a dramatization of the events which form one of the most turbulent periods in the politics of India.
