Jaya Bachchan’s Amitabh name row
jaya bachchan : “Jaya Amitabh Bachhan”
It started on July 29, when Jaya first objected to being called “Jaya Amitabh Bachhan” at the Rajya Sabha, stating that she had her own identity and did not require her husband’s.
Her name was again called in parliament on August 5th reigniting the same debate. However, Dhankhar made comments about it and asked her to correct her name officially on nomination paper in case she does not want ‘Amitabh’ associated with it.
“You have an option if you wish you can change your name as given in your election certificate. Among cheers from rest of Rajya Sabha, Dhankar has said, “Please use it and change it officially.”
Dhankhar was hailed online for his response while Jaya’s conduct in Parliament received some criticism as well.
