All of Mumbai City’s group stage matches will be played at Kishore Bharati Krirangan Stadium in Kolkata. Their last match in a group is with Punjab FC on August 11th; before this they are going to play CISF Protectors on August 5 and meet with Kerala Blasters on August 1st.

By allowing them to participate in one of India’s most prestigious competitions, Mumbai City hopes to develop its reserve team who can showcase their skills on a bigger platform.

According to the club’s CEO Kandarp Chandra, “We are excited to provide our young players with a chance to play in Durand Cup.” The prestigious tournament is a platform that enables them to showcase their talent and get invaluable high stake game experience. Our aim is orienting young players in competitive environments where they can grow and mature.

“Our concern remains on how we can develop our local budding talents through this competition,” said Dinesh Nair, Club Academy Director as he talked about the future of the club. Their progress depends heavily on this experience and whether it will lead us to long-term success.
