India general Elections 2024 West Bengal
India general Elections 2024:Nevertheless, apart from eight parliamentary seats in West Bengal where Trinamool Congress (TMC) could not work out common ground with Congress and Communist Party of India (Marxist), CPI(M), such intra-alliance issues are mostly hypothetical, even in India. Today’s 96 PC poll has ninety-seven contesters fielded by NDA across ninety-five PCs; only two PCs had mock intra-alliance clashes. For instance, Republican Party of India (Athawale), without an MP, has fielded its candidate from each one of these two Andhra Pradesh and Telangana constituencies where Telugu Desam Party(TDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) are sitting on opposite benches respectively. But none of them hail from alliance for Srinagar seat from Jammu & Kashmir.
Furthermore, another intriguing pattern can be seen in mandate arithmetic behind existing NDA session, even this turn – The BJP still remains to be the leading partner among allies but it will lock horns with less than any previous stage: It contests just 72.9% voting seats unlike 75.5%, 79.5% or 87.l% polling stations used during stages one through three phases respectively. This tendency owes itself to the fact that TDP got seventeen out twenty five PCs from BJP at Andhra Pradesh statewide level during this electoral campaign period. TDP is the second largest single constituent of NDA across India as a whole. In this phase, the other remaining NDA members are running for three seats or fewer.
India general Elections 2024 Maharashtra and Bihar
This is partly undeniable because polling at Maharashtra and Bihar, where BJP has same magnitude representation as its allies, takes place over seven stages and five phases respectively. There will be only 11 and five PCs from Maharashtra and Bihar participating in today’s proposed polling exercise respectively.India general Elections 2024: INDIA group put forward 148 contestants in 95 PCs; while intra-alliance issues exist in respect of 48 seats at Indore constituency level whose Congress nominee withdrew his candidature leaving no candidate from INDIA alliance therein.
However, it should be made clear that Congress not giving the PC partners their due does not necessarily precipitate intra-alliance tensions within a significant part of the constituency – For example this round party is contesting only 61 out of 96 seats (i.e., about 63.5%); against first three ones’ percentages that amounted to 54.9%, 79.5%, as well as 973%.

In this case, how then does the INDIA group have very many disputes within it despite only few seats being contested by congress? Since it is a junior partner in Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal—only 10 of the 41 currently being contested belong to it—the party does not compete for many of the seats.
India general Elections 2024:The party only had formalized a seat-sharing agreement with CPI (M) in West Bengal. Congress and CPI(M) do not agree with T/MC on all eight of these constituency seats that are up for election. The dispute between Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) has been similar in Srinagar.
Smaller constituents within INDIA create additional problems by fielding candidates in PCs without clear cut seat sharing agreements. For example, All India Forward Bloc (AIFB) has made its stand known on thirteen PCs which clash with other groups from INDIA. These are six for Andhra Pradesh, three for Telangana, two for Uttar Pradesh, one each for Maharashtra and Odisha.Certainly Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP), Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) don’t see eye to eye since they have their own PC contesting seven out of the eight.
India general Elections 2024:Four out of five PCs except Begusarai of Bihar conflict with Communist Party of India (CPI). Similarly Samajwadi party(SP)) has led conflicts in seven Andhra Pradesh PCs as well as another one found in Odisha while still pursuing a similar clash over two PCs located at Uttar Pradesh against CPI and AIFB.
These PCs were won by who among those belonging to INDIA?
