pm narendra modi On Sunday night, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi visited the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh and offered prayers.

After praying, he started his roadshow called ‘Ram Path’ which began from Sugriva Fort and ended at Lata Chowk covering 40 sections in total. Prior to his visit Yogi Adityanath also paid a visit to Ram temple in Ayodhya.

This is Mr Modi’s maiden trip to Ayodhya after “Pran Pratishtha” ceremony of Ram temple on January 22. During this ceremony Vedic rituals were led by PM along with a group of priests which represents dedication of Shri Ram Lalla at this historical temple.
Also, this is second tour of Mr Modi within last five months for visiting Ayodhya. First roadshow was held on December 30th along with inauguration of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport.

Ayodhya will go to polls on May 20th in fifth phase when Lok Sabha elections are taking place in seven stages till June 1. Counting will be done on June 4th.
Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of members (80) who are sent by any state for Lower House representation during all seven phases of parliamentary election polling will be taking place here only. After completion of two phases voting for 16 seats has been concluded for now.
In General elections-2019 BJP won 62 out of total 80 seats whereas ally Apna Dal(S) got two more seats hence together they have secured majority vote share while BSP under Mayawati had ten seats but SP led by Akhilesh Yadav could manage only five seats so Congress had only one seat left now
